Our work

Theatre Resource is a dynamic and forward-looking professional arts organisation, specialising in the area of disability arts and social inclusion. Our work promotes the creativity, culture and heritage of disabled people and socially excluded groups, for the benefit of all.

Our work generates ‘pathways’ within the arts:

In support of our work, we manage a large, multi-purpose arts education centre in Chipping Ongar, Essex, which we are about to extend. From this centre we develop a strategic programme of outreach and centre-based projects with a local, regional and national focus, including: -

  • Participatory arts projects
  • CPD (Continuing Professional Development), training and supported employment opportunities
  • Professional arts products (e.g. theatre performances, exhibitions, publications, etc.)
  • Dissemination and networking initiatives

Our work brings together artists, arts organisations, community groups, health and social care providers and a wide range of funding bodies.

Information about events and activities run by Theatre Resource can be found by clicking on the Calendar link (left). The calendar will take you to a detailed listing of all the events and activities season by season and month by month, and you can view further information or book online for many of these activities by following the links.

Additional sections featuring more general information about areas of our work will be added from time to time, so please check back regularly for the most up-to-date information.
